Desperate for the Rule of God's Law:
Part #1
Dramatizes
Decades of Anti-Christ, Judicial Tyranny
For 40 years America has been
under assault by a dedicated minority of anti-Christ, left-wing radicals,
determined to expunge God from American public life. America has badly needed
a God-sent champion. He may have sent us one!
· Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore knows and steadfastly believes God's word. He understands the intent of our Founding Fathers and is equipped in American law and history.
· Moore has the support of 77% of the American people. He was popularly elected Chief Justice of Alabama's Supreme Court.
· His present battle to defend his rights and his responsibilities under his state's constitution to acknowledge God by displaying the Ten Commandments embodies all the elements of the legal and culture war that has been in progress in America for the past 40 years.
· Yet even Republicans in the White House and Congress have been too timid to take a stand.
·
Pundits have repeatedly referred to the "rule of
law," implying that Moore has violated it. Nothing could be farther from
the truth. Judge Moore is standing
against a federal judiciary that has for decades vandalized the "rule of
law."
With the federal courts as their champions, the secular elitists have nearly succeeded in expunging God from our public life. They could not have done so but for indolent, backslidden, Bible-dull and history-ignorant Christians, absorbed by the cares of modern life.
We must pray for God to rouse thousands of sleeping pastors and to stir them to awaken their people! If the Church stirs, the Ten Commandments and the out-of-control federal judiciary will be campaign issues for every candidate running for public office in America – from President down to dogcatcher.
The
future of America is on the line.

The Call Texas: A Call for Justice by Lou Engle |
1. We must recognize our forefathers and our responsibility in such a foundational crumbling. As we stood in Montgomery among our Christian brethren, I sensed almost an idolatry of the public posting of the commandment as if this will turn the nation to repentance. But all this has happened because we have stolen - we have robbed the poor through national economical injustice, and we have committed adultery in deed and in heart. We have murdered our brothers with words of hate. Christians perpetuated slavery, and in the name of God forced segregation, lynched blacks, and broke covenant with the native peoples of the land. We have worshipped peace and prosperity with little regard to the plague of the poor and oppressed. Unless we bring the spiritual awakening together with social justice, we become salt without savor, trodden under the foot of man. Through dreams and the Word, we have received revelation that abortion is the fruit of the accumulated injustice of our 300-year history. We must walk in the sandals of the American Indian Trail of Tears before we can buy the precious fruit of the womb. We must recognize abortion is just part of the web of injustice for which God said he will not turn back his wrath. The prophet Amos says in Amos 1:6: “This is what the Lord says: ‘For three sins of Gaza, even for four, I will not turn back my wrath. Because she took captive whole communities and sold them to Edom.’” The wholesale removal of African slaves from their homeland to the shores of America, the horrific slave trade that ensued, and the ongoing racism and oppression of the African American people has certainly incurred the wrath of God. Amos 1:9: “This is what the Lord says: ‘For three sins of Tyre, even for four, I will not turn back my wrath. Because she sold whole communities to Edom, disregarding a treaty of brotherhood.’” The continual breaking of treaties with Native People of America (and the removal of whole communities from the tribal lands; the many trails of tears) by those who professed biblical allegiances still weighs on God’s heart, and He will not turn back His wrath unless an ever deepening concern fills the heart of the church. Amos 1:13: “For this is what the Lord says, ‘For three sins of Ammon, even for four, I will not turn back my wrath. Because he ripped open the pregnant women of Gilead in order to extend his borders.’” At the Sand Creek Massacre, pregnant Native women were ripped open to extend the borders of white territorial expansion. Talk about abortion! Since Roe vs. Wade, 40 million plus babies have had their lives ripped away by violence in the womb. Amos 2:4: “This is what the Lord says, ‘For three sins of Judah, even for four, I will not turn back my wrath. Because they have rejected the law of the Lord and have not kept His decrees, because they have been led astray by false gods, the gods their ancestors followed.’” The highest courts of America have rejected the law of God, for which God’s wrath will not turn back. 2. We must acknowledge our great sin of abdication from God’s mandate to govern the earth, and bring it under the dominion of Christ. We have preached a salvation of personal salvation with the promise of heaven without the call to the social demands of the gospel. “I despise your religious feasts; I can not stand your solemn assemblies…away with the noise of your songs…but let your justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never failing stream.” The Martin Luther King civil right movement was born along on the songs, fasting and prayer, the willingness to suffer for righteousness sake by hundreds of thousands black and white brothers and sisters. I consider the movement a revival. We must become the contenders in the gates of law, politics, arts, and media business. God raise up the Daniels, Esthers, and the Josephs! 3. We must repent of our attitudes toward children The church, I believe, has been guilty of withholding righteous offspring from the Lord. The root of abortion and birth control may be the same. Children are not wanted, and are an inconvenience, but the bible says, “Blessed is the man who has his quiver full. They will not be ashamed when they contend with their enemies in the gates.” Children are to be our arrows, the victorious contenders for the gates of culture. God says He is seeking godly offspring, but we have refused Him. How can we point the finger at those who have abortions when the same roots exist in our hearts? Jesus said, “It is said you shall not commit adultery, but I say to you a man who looks upon a woman lustfully has committed adultery in his heart.” The Lord goes for the root. Recently I read about what Muslims in America are calling the ‘silent jihad’. Their goal is dominion in America through giving birth to children. It sounds as if they have seized the original mandate ‘Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth!’ Has that mandate been rescinded? I think not. Again we spiritualize everything. Now it is only the great commission. Yes! A million times yes to the great commission (spiritual children and disciples), but who is more receptive to conversion and faith, but the sons and daughters of spiritual family dynasties. As John Dawson once said to me, “People don’t want to hear it, but God works through family dynasties.” Just look at the offspring of Jonathan Edwards. God is a covenant God and keeps His covenant to one thousand generations who love Him and keeps His commandments. Maybe the spiritual words of the church will not open again until the natural womb of the church is opened to the lordship of Christ. And maybe the abortion will not end until a deep assessment of this issue has been made before God. Maybe our children will need to bring a revolution in this area. 4. We must rebuild the foundations of law in our lives and in our families. Fathers must teach their children to honor and fear the Lord that His blessings may be upon the generations. With what is going on in Montgomery, why not seize this opportunity to instruct your children verse by verse in the 10 commandments? On August 28th, I embarked on a 40-day season of fasting dedicating it to Bill Bright and to Martin Luther King, it being the 40th anniversary of his “I have a dream” speech. My prayer is for an evangelical explosion in the schools of America, and that justice would flow down in America - changing the destiny of a nation and resulting in revival, justice, the ending of abortion, and shifts in court judgment. Would you join with me as we prepare for the final Call in the Cotton Bowl in Dallas? We are calling a national Esther fast, starting with Thanksgiving where we’ll feast in Dallas with our families and feed the poor that afternoon and fulfill Isaiah 58. That night we will begin a 2-day fast, leading to an 8-hour day of praise and worship on Friday, then the Joel 2 fast on Saturday in the Cotton Bowl. It is the time to seize the moment called “Now.” Flash points in the courts and in injustice are breaking out everywhere, but this is the time for Esther to arise. Who knows if you were born for such a time as this! Consumed for the Call for Justice, Lou Engle |
